Hey guys, Babs thanks for letting me post this here. If there is anyone here interested in joining us for the walk please let me know. Well now that we have gotten the cruise, luncheon and Soapfest behind us, the Nukies 3-Day Walk for Breast Cancer team is gearing up for our fundraising efforts. Each member of our team has to raise $2,300 in order to participate in the walk. We are all very much looking forward to this walk and we are all training for this 60 mile walk. Our fundraising efforts are kicking into high gear over the next few weeks. During the cruise Jake and Van were kind enough to autograph multiple items for us to auction on E-bay to help with our fundraising. Some items are autographed individually by the boys and some are autographed by both. One special item is autographed by the entire Rock the Soap Cast (huge thank yous to Bob Guiney for making that happen). We will post here on the board as each new item is added. For those wishing to make donations I will post a link to our team page which you can make credit card donations online. Please remember this is not a popularity contest between team members, we all have to raise the $2,300 so if you can spread your donations amongst all the team members we would greatly appreciate it. For those wanting to pay by check (or cash) we ask that you please send your checks payable to the Breast Cancer 3-Day to Theresa Webber P.O. Box 137, Woburn, MA 01801. Theresa will have donation pages for all of the participants and she will forward the money with donation page to the Komen Foundation to try and make sure that everyone is benefiting from the donations. I set our team goal at $10,000 and I know that we can reach that goal with the help of all the great people on this board. During the walk we will have a banner at our campsite that we would like to use to honor those who have lost their battle with breast cancer and those who are continuing to fight the battle. If you would like to have your loved one included on the banner please send a picture to me at the following address: Angela Baldwin 4239 Mars Hill Circle Cumming, GA 30040 Thank you again for your continued support as we prepare for this journey. Theresa, Cathy, Sherry and myself are all very grateful to have the love and support of such wonderful friends. Many blessings, Angela http://www.the3day.org/site/TR/Walk/AtlantaEvent?team_id=69531&pg=team&fr_id=1291 - 3Day site http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260407355739 - Mousepad 1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260407357369 - Mousepad 2 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260407358066 - Mousepad 3 |

Hey guys here is my update... Aids Walk I had a blast with Wole (Team Captain), Mick, Ashley, and Davida. I raised $175 for the GMHC thanks to friends and family! Take Steps Be Heard! Crohn's and Colitis CCFA I volunteered in honor of my cousin Victor who is 13 years old and was diagnosed with Thrombosis and Colitis at age 7. Luckly this year he was out of the his wheelchair and ready to walk! Our team raised over $1500, members included Vic's doctor and children in his Chorn's and Colitis support group! CCFA is in part affiliated with HoleInTheWall Camps. In the fall of 1988, actor Paul Newman’s dream of opening a camp for children with serious medical conditions became a reality. This weekend I will once again be headed up to Comfort Zone Camp. My favorite charity of all time and all around fave place to be. CZC I have been matched with a lil buddy, she is new and we have the same birthday so I cannot wait to meet her! Edited by bubblz0314, Jun 10 2009, 11:45 AM.

Hi everyone. Just an update on the Nuke 3-day team progress. We are steadily making our way toward our fundraising goal. Theresa has posted 4 photobooks from last years Luncheon and Soapfest that chronicle the guys. These are up for auction on ebay here: http://shop.ebay.com/atwtnuke3day/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg= Also I have designed some cool (or at least I think so, lol) stuff that you can purchase to help support the girls as we make this journey. They are great little keepsakes and something I thing Jake would happily autograph at future functions. Those can be foundt at: http://www.zazzle.com/angelabaldwin88 Finally, below is a picture of the banner that will be outside our tents at camp throughout the walk. We would like to add your loved one's picture to our banner if you have someone who is battling or has battled breast cancer. Please feel free to e-mail your pics to me at angelasbaldwin@yahoo.com and I will print and post them on the banner. Thank you again for all your support and love. Without the great fans of Jake and Van this team would not exist and we certainly would not be anywhere close to our fundraising goal. Many blessing. Angela ![]() |
